Philippines 2008
MISSION TRIP TO THE PHILIPPINES 
July 10-22, 2008 

PURPOSE  … to carry out the mission I received from the Lord Jesus, the mission of testifying to the good news of God’s kindness.”  Acts 20:24

Needed: 12 member team 
This team will spend most of the time in the city of Bacolod, which is the capital of the Province of Negros Occidental. We will be working with the students at West Negros University and church leaders in the area. Specific ministry goals include conducting Worship Services @ WNU, as well as local high schools and grade schools, in which the team will offer preaching, worship, and personal life-change testimonies. We will also help establish a follow-up strategy and discipleship program for new Christians at WNU. There will be a lot of interaction with students, and sharing together in ministry and friendship. If possible, we will help a local church improve their facility with light construction and clean up.

Compassion International

 We have teamed up with Compassion International to do our part in defeating poverty.  Poverty isn't just about money but includes the need for food, medicine, shelter, and even emotional support.
Compassion is a organization that has been around for a long time and is fully devoted to helping people around the world.  They're involved in all of the poorest countries on earth and you can be too.

In our theater lobby, you can pick up a packet of a child that needs your help.  When you adopt this child for $32 a month, you will be a lifeline of hope and connection.  You'll send and receive letters and pictures from your child.  You can even visit your child where they live.  The WC staff support children, others in our church are supporting a child through Compassion, YOU CAN TOO.
